Provincial Party Committee Old Cadres Bureau Organizes Provincial Veteran Cadres to Visit Shaoguan

Recently, the Provincial Party Committee's Bureau of Veteran Cadres organized provincial-level veteran cadres to visit Shaoguan for inspection, thoroughly studying General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements and his series of important speeches and instructions on Guangdong, and earnestly carrying out the special research activity "Learn Thought, See Change, Assist Development," to promote the implementation of the provincial Party committee's "1310" specific deployment. Thirty-two provincial-level veteran cadres, including Gao Qiren and Zhang Guoying, participated in the visit and inspection.

The group of veteran cadres went deep into multiple counties and districts of Shaoguan to learn on the spot about the development of the modern industrial system, including the Shaoguan data-center cluster (a computing-power hub node of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area) and Guangdong Omat Advanced Materials Co., Ltd., and inspected the conservation and utilization of historical, cultural, and ecological resources such as the Shuangfeng Fortress in Shitang Town of Renhua County, the Danxia Mountain National Nature Reserve, and the Shaoguan Historical and Cultural Museum. They also studied the implementation of the "Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Project" and the development of ethnic-minority areas in places such as Datang Town of Qujiang District and Diaozitang Village of Dongping Town, Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County.

Walking, viewing, listening, and asking along the way, the veteran comrades unanimously agreed that this trip to Shaoguan was a learning and reflective journey witnessing the transformation of an old industrial city and feeling the development pulse of northern Guangdong. Here they saw the new atmosphere of the computing-power industry gathering momentum, the new look of urban and rural change driven by the "Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Project," and the new vision of green development empowering the renewal of the old city. Shaoguan's explorations and practices are a vivid embodiment of Guangdong's resolute implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on a correct view of political achievements and his series of important speeches and instructions on Guangdong, a vivid practice of the provincial Party committee's "1310" specific deployment taking root in northern Guangdong, and a vivid miniature of Guangdong using a correct view of political achievements to lead high-quality development and promoting the initial success of the "Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Project." They expressed that they will, as always, leverage the unique advantages of veteran cadres and contribute wisdom and strength to Guangdong's efforts to be at the forefront in advancing Chinese-style modernization.
