On October 29, our association’s executive deputy secretary-general Jin Hongchun led a delegation to Shaoguan for a visit and exchange, warmly received by municipal leaders. Heads of the NDRC, industry bureau, commerce bureau, science bureau, new-area administration, and South China Equipment Park, along with Shaohua and Omat leaders, joined the forum. Our leader thanked the city and hoped to learn about its investment policies and resources for the semiconductor-display industry.

Today Municipal Party Secretary Wang Ruijun led a team to Shaoguan Beifang Zhizao Technology and Guangdong Omat Advanced Materials to research operations and listing work, stressing the need to keep improving the business environment, accelerate the cultivation of high-growth high-tech enterprises for listing, and build innovative leading firms. At Beifang Zhizao in Qujiang district, he learned about operations and listing progress and heard the firm’s appeals.

On October 26–27, the provincial Foreign Affairs Office organized a foreign consular corps in Guangzhou and Chinese and foreign media to visit Shaoguan, to learn about its economic, social, trade, cultural, and investment situation and seek win-win cooperation. On the 27th, the city held a "Northern Guangdong Tour" Shaoguan city promotion for the consular corps and media; Municipal Party Secretary Wang Ruijun and provincial Foreign Affairs Office director Chen Qiuyan attended and spoke, as did the Mexican consul-general in Guangzhou.

On August 17–18, Guangdong Industry and Information Technology Department discipline-inspection leader Lin Hanwen led officials to Shaoguan to guide fiscal special-fund management. Deputy secretary-general Long Xianshun and Industry Bureau chief Ouyang Quan and deputy director Huang Lixia accompanied. Lin Hanwen chaired a bureau members’ forum and visited Guangdong Omat Advanced Materials, Guangdong Shuocheng Technology, and Ruyuan Dongyang.

To implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on "cultivating a batch of ‘little-giant’ SMEs" and enhancing their innovation, and to carry out the guideline on promoting healthy SME development, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched the third batch of "little giant" cultivation; provincial reviews, recommendations, and industry-association argumentation have been completed.
