On the morning of November 3, 2023, Liu Xiaoyi, chair of the Guangdong NPC Education, Science, Culture and Health Committee, led a special research team to Omat; Shaoguan NPC deputy director Lin Lan and deputy secretary-general Li Yong accompanied. Chairman Wen Hongfu introduced Omat’s technological innovation.

On November 2, 2023, ABC Guangdong Discipline Inspection Secretary Yang Yuling visited Omat to promote the spirit of the Central Financial Work Conference. Chairman Wen Hongfu introduced the company’s history and achievements; Secretary Yang affirmed and supported Omat’s long focus on high-purity sputtering targets and its role in addressing national chokepoint problems.

On the afternoon of October 30, 2023, Shaoguan Government Deputy Secretary-General and Petition Bureau chief Chen Gang led over 20 party members from the petition bureau, discipline inspection commission, government office, science bureau, and reception hall to Omat for a themed Party-Day activity. Deputy Secretary-General Chen Gang heard Chairman Wen Hongfu’s report on operations.

On the morning of October 27, 2023, Shaoguan NPC Deputy Director and Federation of Trade Unions chair Deng Caihong visited Omat’s Ruyuan site for on-site research, accompanied by Ruyuan leaders. Chair Deng consoled construction staff and encouraged Omat to advance the project and start production soon to contribute more to high-quality development.

On September 27, Shaoguan Standing Committee member and Executive Vice Mayor Zou Zhenyu led a team to high-tech zone enterprises for a warm-enterprise, merchant-reassuring, and safety-production inspection, stressing that firms keep confidence, release capacity, and open markets under safe production, to drive new breakthroughs. High-tech zone officials joined.

On July 31, Provincial Standing Committee member and United Front Work Minister Wang Ruijun visited Shaoguan, inspecting sites including the Guangdong–Shixing supply center for the Greater Bay Area, a medical-health industrial base, Guangdong Omat Advanced Materials, Shaohua Technology, and the Greater Bay Area data-application industrial park.

On July 11, 2023, the "2023 China Display Industry Supply-Chain Technology and Market Exchange Conference" and the "2022 China New Display Industry Chain Development Contribution Awards" were held in Dalian, co-hosted by the China Electronics Materials Industry Association and the LCD branch of the China Optical and Optoelectronic Industry Association. The conference discussed industry trends and new applications to be integrated during the 14th Five-Year Plan.

On July 14, 2023, Guangdong Federation of Trade Unions Party Secretary and executive vice chair Chen Weidong led a team to Omat. Participants included Shaoguan Standing Committee member and Organization Minister Zhang Li, NPC deputy director and Federation chair Deng Caihong, Federation Party secretary and executive vice chair Wu Guoqiang, and industrial-park union leaders.

During the "Green Beautiful Guangdong, NPC Action" and "Eco Shaoguan, Deputies Add Color" activities, to better leverage deputies’ roles, on July 12 the municipal NPC deputy director Lin Lan led some deputies in a law-enforcement inspection of the Science and Technology Progress Law. At the Guangdong Carbon-Neutrality Research Institute, a hydraulic-parts factory, the high-tech zone, and a showroom, the inspection team observed and listened, and talked with science workers.

On May 29, the NDRC Regional Department researched in Guangdong’s Shaoguan. The team inspected the development of Guangdong Omat Advanced Materials, Huashao Data Valley, and Shaohua Technology, heard about the Shaoguan data-center cluster progress as a national computing hub node of the Greater Bay Area, and discussed promoting Shaoguan’s sci-tech innovation, industrial development, and integration into the Greater Bay Area.

On May 30, 2023, the city held a forum where the 2023 "Most Beautiful Science Workers" shared their stories. Omat’s Dr. Lu Kuankuan, as one of the representatives, attended. In 2021, Dr. Lu and his wife came to Shaoguan as the "Danxia talent" postdoc Omat recruited. He said he is rooted in Shaoguan.

On the afternoon of May 16, Guangdong Industry and Information Technology Department Chief Economist Zhang Zhenxiang led a team to Omat to research high-quality manufacturing development; Shaoguan Standing Committee member and Vice Mayor Luo Xiaoqin and bureau and high-tech zone officials accompanied. Chairman Wen Hongfu received the visitors. The team toured the showroom and materials research institute.
